Juan
Perez Agirregoikoa wrote lyrics after works by psychoanalyst Jacques
Lacan, the philosopher Guy Lardreau, the economist Jacques Fradin
and anti-philosopher Gilles Grelet.
He asked the Basque choir Ochote Oznki to provide the music based
on the classic Basque repertoir.
The songs were recorded and the DVD contains four videoclips. For
a full comprehension and rendering of the work Juan Perez AGirregoikoa
has seen fit to also provide three posters
to hang on one’s wall or placard on urban pallissades according
to taste: an anti Marxist watercolor, a text by Gilles Grelet and
another by Gilles Grelet and Hugues Choplin.
This work was presented at the ARTIUM (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Basque Country)
in November 2007, then in the gallery Carreras
Mugica (Bilbao) in February-March 2008 and MUHKA
(Antwerp) from December 2008 to March 2009. |
